    Wrist to Thumb release

Am now adjusting from a wrist to a thumb release. Since the switch, to hit at 20 yards, I must shoot using the 23 yard pin, at 40 it is the 43 yard pin and at 60 the 64 yard. I shoot an HHA so I can adjust in one yard increments. Is this normal? Same draw length and poundage, same arrows etc. I believe I am using the same sight picture. The other difference is tighter groups.

    Thanks

Yep, anchor point changed hence the pin difference.

Anchor point may be correct, however string and thumb touch same spot as wrist release?

I just did the same thing and had to change my sight up a bit to shoot the same. I shot great groups before, but now my release is much smoother and I anchor much more solid than before. I can almost guarantee that your anchor point changed
