I started on a knife makers vise today.

I got a couple feet of 2 7/8 pipe, some 2 3/8 pipe and some 2" pipe. I already had some 1/4 x 3" leftover.

I changed it up a little from the original build I saw one here.

I cut the base at 6 3/4 and the upright at 4" the insert that will swivel is 5" at the high point of the saddle. The piece that will sit on the saddle cut I cut at 3". That's all I have done at this point, I'll post more pics later.
