Just found out that i'll probably be have to be working the first 3 weeks of season this year so i was thinking about trying to find somewhere to try and find a 2 or 3 year old cow to fill the freezer. Hoping to find something end of august or first week in september.

Any suggestions?

I have an e-mail into bowhunters paradise but i'm open to other suggestions.

Nice one. i'm hoping to find a pure meat hunt, 2-3 year old heifer. seems that 1500 is about the average price i can come up with but those are mostly at ranches i know nothing about.
Hopefully i can get something set up

Something to think about is the temp that time of year and all of that meat. You got to get that stuff cooled quickly and that is a chore in hot weather.

The $500 to $600 sounds about right. But I'ld be willing to bet that you can get that kind of pricing here in TX.

i killed a decent one at mesquite couple of years ago, my brother shot one earlier this year, check him out, even in the heat he will help with fast recovery and get it in the cooler.

Thanks for all the input, never did get a reply from bowhunters paradise and we chose to book with MMK outfitters for the 1st week in september. The guys at MMK have been very helpful and if the trip goes as well as the planning then it should be a good one.
