Anyone going to Sturgis Biker Week?

Curious if anyone else is going to make the trip this year? Has been on my bucket list for some time and I am going to check it off this year. We are leaving from Tyler Aug 1 and going to arrive in Sturgis Aug 3. Going to ride all the way, no trailers!! Then head home Saturday Aug 9.

If anyone else is going to be there we need to have a beer at the Crazy Horse Would love to hear about the "must see's" from anyone that has been there.

Was there for the 70th anniversary. It's as crazy as everybody says.

I enjoyed the Full Throttle Saloon as much as anyplace. We stayed at the Buffalo Chip and had a good time there as well. The ZZ Top concert was over the top.

For sure go see Mt Rushmore and Deadwood. We didn't do the badlands or devils tower. We stayed I. Sturgis three nights (plenty for us) then used the rest of the week to ride back through Colorado backroads to see Rocky Mountain natl park and we rode up Pikes Peak.

Btw---you can do nearly anything you want in the campgrounds, but while you are in town you had better be pretty dang sober if you are riding. Legal bikes and full stops at stop signs, etc.

Sturgis SD loves to make their money off bikers.

we are going to stay in rapid city, decided to go to late to find a room in Sturgis. Will be making a lot of the rides during the day, sounds like some really good riding around there. appreciate the pointers

I went Antelope hunting in 2010 & had 3 days b/4 season opened & was an hour from Sturgis. Went up to Deadwood 1 day (I'm not a biker) and it was just awesome. So many different bikes & great people. So glad I could see & experience this.

I'm going to make that trip when it aint biker week sometime. I love a good party, but I want to see all the sights in that part of the Country without the crowd.
