McAlester this weekend?

Is Sunday selfbow only or selfbow and composite? Just checking before I go... 2 different classes or both in 1 class?

Here is some info on the shoot for ya.
August 2nd. & 3rd.

Saturday:
Men’s recurve
Men’s longbow (wood arrow only) You can shoot your longbow with arrows other than wood in the traditional recurve class if you like
Men’s Seniors: 55 yrs.& up (either bow/arrow combination)
Women’s recurve
Women’s longbow (wood arrow only)
Youth ( 13 thru 18)
Cub (12 and under)

Sunday: SELFBOW DAY
Men’s selfbow (wood arrow)
Women’s selfbow (wood arrow)
Cub’s

As of this week there will be no velvet tours scheduled either day (bummer!!) Hope to see you there..

That's the info I had, seem to remember there being composite bows shot as well.

Composite bow is the same as selfbow in Okla.

I'm glad I just looked at this. I assumed there was a longbow open and recurve open class. You can shoot takedown longbows with wood arrows right? Thanks, Jeff

Yes, any longbow can be shot in longbow class, but wood arrows only.

If its been like the past several years, you can shoot a composite in the selfbow class, its just all lumped together. Haven't heard any changes to this year's shoot in any of the classes compared to all the years past.

Mike Baird took the longbow, not sure on recurve and Danny Jarmon took selfbow today. Great course but needed a little more trash

and fewer armadillos............................

For real, it was way too open. I've been practicing shooting through or around all kinds of trash and might have touched 2 twigs in 2 rounds.

it was the best course i'v shot there in 6 years. and compared to past course's it was open.
