    deer feeders and bears

I will be hunting in Honobia, OK this season. I've been told that most of the members do not use feeders due to them being destroyed by bears. This is all new to me. I am looking for ideas of what feeders people are using when hunting around bears. I am thinking a limb and pulley/cable/winch type set up. Appreciate any thoughts and experience with this.

Something with a cable would seem to be the best way. I've never had bears though so I'm probably not the best one for advice.

All season stand and fill feeder and reinforce the varmint cage?

Some type of pulley system might work. Bears are smart, if they really want to get the corn they will find a way.

I don't hunt around bears, but my feeders are hanging from limbs with cables. I would think if they are up high enough that would be safe. We use a ladder instead of a pulley system to feed.

Hunted there friends and family still do build a cage under a Barrell and strap it to tree on the ground

I think you will still have problems with bears coming in to eat yours feed.

This is wgat I was looking at for a hog and raccoon proof feeder.
It's also recommended for bear araas.

We use the winch up tripod style. They are 14' tall and that cuts down on a lot of issues.
