    sharpening help

Curious if any of you knife makers would be willing to sharpen some 2 blade fixed broadheads for me. ( willing to pay or trade for service of course). I always thought I was pretty good at getting my knives ridiculously sharp but can't seem to have the same success on broadheads. Not sure if it's the quality of the steel or the lack of ability on my part but I'm betting it's the latter of the two.

Most likely a combination of the two. I can't get mine scary sharp either, but my knives stay scary sharp.

That's my problem. Most of my buddies won't even pick up my knives but just can't get there with a broadhead

Eskimo by zwickey and Simmon sharks. I typically use a razors edge sharpening kit for my knives. Doesn't seem to work as good on heads

Can you detect a burr on the edge?

            If you can.
Try finishing the edge on a leather strop with some jewelers rouge on it.

If you strop carefully and gently enough there will be no burr left and it will be scary sharp.

Go with what itsLeo said. Sharpen till you feel a burr. Whittle it down some with lighter strokes and then go to a strop, w very slight angle.
