Ok, I have a few question for you more experienced photographers out there. I have come into possession of a near mint Canon 300L F/4 non-is (older version), and am wondering if the IS version is worth getting and selling this one. Wanting to do a little handheld without carrying a tripod. Is the IS better image quality? The other thing I was wondering is about teleconverters. From what I can tell the 1.4x is better then the 2.0x with a F/4 since I wont loose 2 stops, but what is the best brand for the 1.4x. I see a few posts here about Kenko MC4, but are they on par with the higher dollar canons or Kenko's? Or do I not get a teleconverter and instead sell the 300 and get a Canon 100-400 IS?
