    Snake Boots vs Snake Chaps

Wore out my snake boots last year .. Flat tire after 3 years (Lol). But it is hard to find a "Reasonably Priced ... ($ 75-100) Men's 10 EE Snake Boot.
Thinking about getting a pair of snake chaps (Type that go to Knee) and ear them with my regular hiking/work boots .. any Opinions or experience

    Justin outlet FW

I bought some Chipewa snake boots at the Justin outlet a few months ago. They have slight imperfection and I got em for $120. Saw them at Bass Pro today for $320 or something. I have snake phobia and my plan is to not look down anymore and not worry about it.
    Good luck!

I like the knee chaps simply because you can wear your normal boots and just put the chaps on when you need them.

I was at justin boot shop on Thursday, they had some sitting out for 100 it seems. Didn't notice size. ,they appeared bigger than my 9.

I have the codura snake chaps, and they work fine, but they are way too noisy when walking through brush. On the other hand, I have yet to find a pair of snake boots that fit and don't rub my ankles, and I tried a lot of different brands. My suggestion whether you buy an expensive pair or cheaper pair to make sure you try them on. I would not buy mail order boots.

My current Boots probably have@ 1 season left after a repair at a shoe shop. But I had a "Light Bulb Go On Moment" ... Lol.

Idea: Calf Area is like new but lowers and soles are beat-up .. Why not cut them off @ ankle height and use that as a Snake chap (Mine are Lace-Up). What do you think ?
