    Ordered a new bow

I just ordered a new bow and sent the deposit in today. The bowyer is Rich Emery. Rich was the apprentice of Don Dow of Don Dow Stikbows. Since Don passed in January, Rich had taken over. He is a great buy to work with and I am excited to get my new bow. Rich has taken these bows to a new level. The Don Dow Stikbows have always been known for their smoothness, speed and value.

I told Rich I wanted something a little different. I wanted something that was a real eye catcher and something I could shoot all day long and not get tired. All of my other bows are pretty to me, but lack the exotic woods and beautiful limb veneers. Here are the specs we came up with:

    60"
    43#@28

    Riser
Bubinga riser with osage accent strip, another accent strip of whatever wood he chooses, and osage riser overlay.

    Limbs
Hard maple and carbon core limbs with ebony veneers under clear glass with red phenolic and ebony limb tips

The grip is going to be more of a recurve grip with a palm swell and thumb locator ridge (hope you know what I mean).

I could not pass up this bow for the price he quoted me and I am really excited. He will start my bow soon and you can watch the progress on his facebook page called Stikbows. I will post pics when I get it.
