    Black Gold Sights

Anybody ever used any of the black gold sights??? I have trouble spending 170 on a sight but with the ability to customize every pin with the color and the size and being able to choose how may pins I want I might just buy one!! Any suggestions or thoughts are welcome!

I'm using a Black Gold Ascent single pin.

      Best sight I've ever owned.

      Rock solid.

I used to use their Dusk Devil and Dusk Devil-II years ago. They were great sights for the time. Used them at night for hogs too. Think our mayor Ms. Mary used a more current version a few years ago. Not sure if she still dose or not.

Their 2014 lineup, the "Pure" series has MAJOR improvements:

                -angled yardage tape face
                -red yardage indicator
                -micro adjust
                -7075 aluminum for added strength
-2nd and 3rd axis built into the standard base

These new ones are more expensive, about $250-$350 but IMO it moves them into the top spot over Spot Hogg. They are just as tough now, tougher than a sight needs to be, and their pins are much brighter.

I have the MBG Ascent Ambush like Ragin' but I'll be switching to the Pure series when they ship in April. My views on the MBG Ascent Ambush:

                Pros:
                -fairly light
                -brightest pins of everyone IMO
                -photochromic shell works awesome
-completely customizable (sight ring color, dovetail, pin colors, single pin, 3 pin, 5 pin, etc)

                Cons:
-price (they can be expensive with custom options but otherwise they are on par with HHA and cheaper than Spot Hogg)
                -poor sight light design IMO
-yardage tapes don't have colors that can be seen at first and last light

I'm nitpicking on the cons but that's really it.

Love my black gold. I hate red pins so got a custom without those and I like the photochromatic fiber optic cover. It helps minimize the pins from getting the starburst effect in bright lights.

I shoot with the Vengeance. It's been really good to me. Think $170 is bad, I questioned my insanity for paying $250
