    Shoot or not shoot

I want to get my first trad kill would like to get a mature deer but not happening this but had nub bucks come in range . So far I pasted on them had one at 8 yards and one at 15 it's getting harder to pass

I would pass on the button buck. It might be your wall hanger in a few years! That being said, you are looking for your first trad kill. I know I, for one, would not rag on you if you did shoot him.

    Good luck,

    Bisch

I wouldn't shoot nubbing bucks either, too many does out for me to take a baby buck. Good luck

A big part of trad hunting is being able to get really close. Sounds to me like you had a couple of successful hunts this year.
Don't rush to shoot something just to say you did it.

I'm gonna go against what everyone else is saying, but..... Kill 'em! It's getting real close to the end of the season, if you got plenty of deer, then wait for a nice fat doe, otherwise, deflate the nubbin. Good luck, and hope to see some LDP's!

SHOOT it's hunting,,, i know what folks say, it might be the best buck of a LIFETIME. but it might be a raghorn. might get run over, yote's might eat it, who know's
i know a feller that for 6 years all he wanted was a GOOD buck wth his longbow. missed a bunch wounded a few, and ended up shoot'n 2 or 3 doe's and a small spike in year 7 he'll tell ya he wished he'd done that YEARS AGO, cause now he's seasoned for the buck he wants..

My first archery buck was a button. What the say about waiting is right but I sure wouldn't judge you, but offer congrats if you do take one

Any deer with archery of any kind in some areas is a big deal. Some folks have the great opportunity to pass deer and wait on that "BIG BUCK"...its hunting brother and if you have only had two deer within 15 yrds this year I would say kill the next legal deer that gives you an opportunity. Some folks dont understand that not all counties allow you to shoot does all season long. Good luck and shoot straight

If I got within 8 yards I'd shoot it. They're all made out of meat. The trophy hunters can have him if I miss. I would get much more of a thrill getting him at 8 yards than I ever would getting a big trophy with a rifle.
