Steel challenge is mine this year! And hope someone doesn't mess up the milk jug challenge this year! Hope for good weather last year was perfect! Joe and the boys from CCR always put on a great venue for this shoot. I just can't walk into CCR without drooling

Might bring my kiddo this year depending on how she's shooting at that time. (Can't afford for her to lose a dozen arrows) if she does come, I'll apologize in advance for throwing off the groups normal process.

Can't believe there isn't more talk about this r100 is a lot of fun and you don't have to be a 3d expert to come out and shoot a life size target or a zombie

It's really a fun shoot, there are multiple pegs for compound, trad, kids and range finders are allowed. The overall attitude is very relaxed and a very calm fun shoot for everyone from kids to the competitive shooters. If you come you will not be disappointed! The shoot is a blast plus the afternoon games are fun.

Can you elaborate on this part of the shoot or is it separate?

They have three competitions for prizes.
The Iron Buck: A solid iron deer silhouette is placed with a foam insert about the size of the 8 ring. The competition starts at 20 yards and backs up 10 yards each round jntil everyone has either missed the target or shattered their arrow on the iron buck. I think the winner gets a dozen arrows.
Milk jug challenge: 20 (I think) people are randomly drawn and you shoot 1v1 at a milk jug on a pulley, first her to drain their jug wins. I forget the prize.
The Steel Challenge: there are 5 or 10 (I don't remember, i didn't actually shoot this competition) 3d targets placed behind steel obstacles (trees, bushes, etc.) and you must shoot from the peg. You get two arrows, if you break one, your score freezes. I don't remember the prize for this either.

I know one of the prizes is a new bow, along with randomly drawn door prizes. Pretty cool stuff they give away, all of this is included in your entry fee.

                            Iron buck victim.

Those all sound fun until you break an arrow, I may get some cheap arrows just for the iron challenges.
