    Ole Tripod

Well guys this deer has some history. Three years ago I went to a stand that no one ever sits just to see what would come out. Low and behold I see this beautiful 2.5 yo 8 pt, with tragically one leg blown off. No idea who shot him, maybe road hunters, but he is skin an bones with one leg just dangling. Before I can get my gun out he falls down and rolls in the brush. I go out there and he's gone. Well we saw him a few times the following year with no horns and a perfectly healed leg. Then last year my cousin thinks he saw him early one morn with one normal side and nothing on the other. Well no one else ever saw him so we think ole tripod died. That brings us to this last weekend. We decide to put a camera on that feeder once again just to take inventory and guess who shows up. He's 5.5 this year and actually chasing does in one of the pics. There is no real water in this part of the pasture and no protein feeder only corn so he's obviously been making do. Just goes to show how resilient these awesome animals are.
