How good are the E-Z Fletch machines?

I've used a Bitzenburger jig for the longest time - straight, left and right helical for all kinds of stuff. But the new E-Z Fletch mini's for small vanes like Blazers are catching my attention. I'm a bit ****-retentive when it comes to glue lines, which is why I've always liked the Bitz. I can still see excess glue and wipe it before it dries into little clumps if necessary. How well do the E-Z Fletch machines work, and in particular - the Mini?

I'll also be fletching up Blazers for the first time ever. I've always used AAE Elite Plastifletch. Been using them for at least 10+ years, but want to try something different. A little nervous about the switch, as I use a WB rest, and I'm concerned about clearance with the higher profile vanes. If I mess up, that would really suck because of all the work I've put into cap dipping and cresting.

    All the best,
    Glenn

They are great and simple. ive used them for over 20 years now. i do wax the inside of the arms to help aid in cleanup and prevent glue from sticking. just aline your arrows c...k vane with the odd colr one and you are set put your blazers in run a thin strip of flue i use fletch tite platinum i dont care for super glues close it up put the top over the arrow snug it up and wait a minute or two its pretty simple

I love mine. The glue issue is sometimes a problem. I learned the hard way that less is more with the glue.

I love mine. But I will say that blazer vanes stick a lot better than any other vane I have used

I had an original one for carbon arrows and I hated it. Turns out I was using way too much glue. Bought a mini and decreased the amount of glue I use and love it. I think the helical one puts more helical on than any other jig I have used
It only takes a fine line of glue down the base of the vane to get the job done. Use too much and you have a mess. Ie vanes stick to clamp and pull off of arrow
I bet if you buy one and don't like it you would not have a problem selling it

For you guys that may have an original "carbon" model, you can buy the "bolt" arms from the website and have the same helical as the minis. Saves you around $20

I’ve got one and i use super glue from the dollar store. The trick to avoiding the over gluing issue is to use the gel style and be sparing as said before. I normally go back with the liquid super glue and hit up any small spots on the fletching that may have been missed and I haven’t lost a fletching yet.

Wow. Just used it for the first time. I fletched 6 arrows with Blazers in about 15-20 minutes. I should have timed it so I'd have an exact time, but it was SO simple to use that I just flew through 6 arrows. Probably could have done it faster, but no need. With my Bitz, this would have taken much longer.

I glued up my Blazers with the Bohning Super Glue Gel. Load 3 vanes, run a bead of glue along them until about the midway point, and then I use the tip to "scrape" the glue from top to bottom so it spreads like butter on bread. Close the clamp, count to 60, remove the arrow and quickly wipe any excess gel (got it down to almost none by arrow #3), and done. Repeated 5 times in no time flat.

I love this fletching tool! I just hope these Blazers work well through my WB rest. I'll test them soon.

If this works out, I'm ordering more arms to do full length right hand feathers. This was awesome.

Anyone want to buy a Bitz with all three clamps and indexers?

                            All the best,
                            Glenn

I'm a little new to this so I have a dumb question, is a left helical for a left handed shooter or does it just make the arrow spin left? Any advise helps... thanks
