I am wanting to get away from the peep!
Was wondering if anybody here has found a better way?

A peep is just an anchor point. If you can get all the same anchor points every time you shoot and be consistent, then sighting in and being accurate will en the same as if you had a peep

A buddy of mine just uses a kisser button and no peep. He says it assures the same anchor point everytime, so all he has to do is put the pin on the target. Works for him and he is a heck of a shot. Guess it is kinda similar to shooting a recurve and just figuring it out.

When I first started shooting, I didnt look through my peep at all. I just lined everything up the exact same. I shot pretty good too. Wish I wouldnt have started with the peep. I feel like it has messed me up.

Please forgive me if I offend anyone, but with the round pinguards nowadays, and larger peeps to align with these round pinguards, why would anybody not use a rear sight?

Because Tom Miranda doesn't. Is that reason enough? I mean, he IS a pro hunter. Shouldn't I do what he does? Lol. Jk.

I use the No Peep and have for years. It works well and I have attached a light to it to allow night hunting. It's a pretty slick setup. They are a pain to setup but once you do, it's game on. PM me if you want a pic. I think I even have an extra I would sell cheap if you want to try it.

This ^ plus position the string on the side of my nose and let the string blur in my right eye vision by turning my head, emphasize both eyes open. Be careful not to push the string sideways with your nose because that affects arrow flight.

A peep is essentially an anchor reference, with the added bonus of letting you match peep and sight housing to eliminate right/left torque. A kisser button is a great reference tool that is cheap, easy to install, and lets you shoot without a peep/both eyes open.
