Have any of you ever had tame/friendly deer in the middle of your pasture? I'm talking about areas where you hunt and not by a camp. We have a few and are not sure how/why they got that way. We have one stand that 2 mature bucks and a doe will get in a 48x48 ft feeder pen with you. It makes it hard to shoot them when they are that tame. Here is a game cam pic of us taking a pic of a buck we call "Mr. Friendly". He was 5 1/2 in this pic from last year.

Seriously though I see it all the time at our place. Two years ago my buddy shot a doe and we went and loader her up on the 4 wheeler, we had at least 10 deer watching us do it from about 75 to 150 yards away. I also had to wave my arms and run off a nice 8 pointer that same year when he was blocking the road eating corn. He stepped about 15 feet off the road and walked back onto the road after I passed. I swear its like a petting zoo at our place!
Slick Trick and I had the same thing happen with bobcats at our place.Last edited by Black Ice; 09-17-2013, 01:09 PM.

Not quite as tame, but the pic of the buck I have in the banner at top was a buck on the Nail Ranch that you could get about 70-80 yards from and he'd just stare at you and come back to the feeder as soon as you got in the blind. Light buck hunting pressure and heavy ranch traffic accounts for it, I believe. On the other hand, doe's on the same ranch would spook at movement in an enclosed blind 200 yards away. They're hunted a lot harder.
