    Knee doc

Well I finally have to do it! Have fallen twice at work now going up and down the stairs. Dang knee just gives out - swelling and at times an awful lot of pain and numbness so, it's time to go see the Orthopedic Surgeon and get his input!

Go on Monday! Hopefully they can do something about it. went to my regular doc and he gave me some creams to put on it - didn't help....

If it is surgery I may be waylaid for a bit - not long I'm sure.

Good luck with it man... I'm headed to rehab for my knee now. Just hoping that don't have to have surgery this close to deer season. They said I have a partially torn acl

Good luck with the knee... I have been putting off knee replacement. Some days are better than others, you're doing the right thing by getting it fixed.

With just a partially torn ACL, you should be able to make it through the season. Just be careful on uneven surfaces.

Seeing the surgeon is the right thing to do. With knees locking or giving way, you have a mechanical issue. Creams won't do a thing to fix this. Pain can be managed, but mechanical function issues can't be fixed with creams or meds.

                    Good luck!

I had a similar problem with one of my knees, but I am too young for knee replacement surgery. No doctor could figure out why my knee was swelling and giving out at times until the 6th doctor I saw. He figured out it was my left foot that was causing my right knee pain.

Wish it was my foot - my doc says too much noise and grinding going on..

Thanks to all the well wishers!
