    Martin x200

I saw one of these for sale online in my area for $100. Does anyone have an opinion of them? After googling it, I saw them selling for $450. The price difference seems fishy.

    Couldn't Resist

Had to do it. Figured I could go wrong for a first recurve for $100.

My fishing bow is a 50# X200. I bought it new for $149 over 10 years ago. It stacks a little but its not bad, however, I think a Samick Sage brand new for $149 is a heck of a lot better shooting bow and well worth the extra $50. I have shot both and side by side, I think the Samick wins hands down.

I second that. The only downfall the samick is the string but you can get a good string for $15. My buddy has the sage its a sweet shooter especially for the price.

You did oOK for $100. It is not a bad bow. Like I said, I have had mine for about 10 years of total abuse using it for fishing. It has been dropped in the water numerous times and I never take the fishing reel off of it, so there is nothing wrong with the bow you bought.

Wow it was my first bow, and while I can not compare it to the Sage, I can say it was a great shooting bow, and could way out shoot my abilities.

Do you have any idea what year that one was mfg? As others have stated those bows "USED" to stack real bad, but the newer models don't seem to have that problem.........Holler at me when you get ready to set it up and I will help all I can, Martin seems to be making improvements to their equipment with the feedback they receive. Congrats on the 100.00 find and the Samick Sage is a great purchase as well.
