    Custom Homemade Tab

Built a bunch of strings today, and when I quit for the day the creative juices were still flowing.

I've been wanting to try this for a long time, and decided now was the time.

This is split cow hide with a nylon webbing face, and a split cow hide rib on the face at the back. Para cord for the finger loop with an adjuster.

Slicker than snot on a doorknob, comfortable, and I shoot good with it too.

My stitching is crooked, but I did it real fast, so cut me some slack.

            Style 2

Made from some old boot leather with the same nylon webbing face.

Just looking at the pics, I think I like the shape of style 2 better. Neither one of them will do me any good though; no slit for the arrow to fit in!

I have found my style. I like this a lot. It fits me like a sunders tab, and is very comfortable.

This one once again was made from old boot & shoot leather. Has a black boot leather backing, with a webbing face, and a brown shoe leather rib.

With this style I can make the finger ring just about any way I want to, but this adjustable paracord is working real good now that I have a finger divot in the tab also.

I like the finger divot idea.

The divot actually made the tab for me.

I really like this thing. It is kinda rough looking because I cut it all out with a pocket knife, and sewed it by hand, but overall it works great, and I now have my style nailed down. The only thing still completely undecided on is the facing material, and only more shooting time will determine that

Good thing about this design is it can be used either right or left hand without changing anything.

As soon as I can, I am going to make some templates & cutters to cut all the parts out in large, medium, and small sizes.

Looks good Rick... Just looking the nylon webbing may be slicker if it was put on the other way with the ridges facing the finger tips, or at least if it is like the nylon webbing that I have would be. Keep up the good work

Hey Ben. The webbing is installed where it is slickest from rear to front, or vice versa.

I am going to have to get some 3" webbing. This stuff is only 2", so I am having to splice it to make it wide enough.

This last tab is 2.75" wide at it's widest point.

I'll test a size med for you. Hahaha actually I want to try a 3 under tab, so let me know how much one would be when you have a chance.
