I purchased the new Mathews HeliM with a 27.5 DL and set at 68lbs, and rigged it with the 5 pin spot hogg hunter sights, QAD rest, etc.... The arrows I had during the initial purchase were the Easton ST Epic cut to 29in.at 8.6gpi. Wednesday I went to my bow shop and picked up 6 new Gold tip Velocity cut to 29in and weigh 7.4gpi.total arrow weight with field point is 342 grains. My bow chronographed at 290fps as and is shooting at 30 on the first pin. My question is there any other way to Get this bow shooting over 300fps? I feel like I have done everything possible especially with a 27.5DL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take weight off the string.....
The lowest you can go on arrow weight is 340. You won't hit 300 unless you remove monkey tails, peep and loop and go down to IBO spec arrow.
Even then it'd be close.
If you want speed, get a bow made for speed with a short brace and aggressive draw cycle.
Either that or stretch your arms!

Your speed or lack there of, is your draw length. If you could got to a 28" cam you would gain 5 to 7 fps.
If you are shooting in the 290's and shoot good groups, I would just practice more and not get worried about gaining a few fps. You have everything to lose and very little to gain by tinkering for just a few fps.
