Anyone Able To Use 1 Pin For 10-30 Yards?

Went and sighted in my new bow today. It's a Mathews Z9, 31"@70 lbs. I am able to use the same pin for 10, 20 and 30 yards. Is that normal? My old bow, I was able to use the same pin for 10 and 20, but had to switch to my second pin for 30. As of now, I'm only using 2 of the 5 pins on my Spot Hogg sight out to 40 yards. Maybe I should have bought the 3 pin sight!

I shoot a Bowtech pulling just over 60lbs and use 1 pin 10-30 yards. I find it helps me find my target faster and shoot more accurate too. Seems the other pins were just getting in the way.

Legacy and pulling 70lbs I have an adjustable sight but 10-33 yds I do not touch the sight.

That's awesome, how much do your arrows weigh?

At least it's not uncommon. I have never had a bow this flat, kinda blew my mind. Pretty sure I'm a Mathews man now, this bow is super smooth and really quiet.

One pin from 20-40. Hold just under for 20 and right on at 40. Mathews reezen 6.5 set at 73lb 7595 goldtips, 100gr slick tricks.Worked on javelina two weeks ago. Got my two on the last day with one shot. (not really planned) But the arrow blew through the front one(target pig) and there was another one a ways behind it that was straight on. Arrow dead centered the chest on the second one, length wise and exited out just right of the rectom.

I do on my monsters, at 10 use the top of the pin at 20 use center of the pin and 30 use bottom of the pin. Works on all 3 of my monsters too.

Yes because of my crazy long drawlength

i set my single pin to 25 most often and can use it to shoot from zero to 30. Just need to remember the compensation on that single pin

I set mine for 25 and can shoot to 40, though I usually don't shoot to 40. It comes in handy when shooting 3d.
