Hey guys I have a question, our gun draw week started today and runs thru the 15th. I was in the understanding that only the guys on the permit were allowed in that section to hunt for that week is this correct? I went to feed today and the area I scouted during bow season to hunt this week about 50yrds away there is a platform stand in a tree that looks to have been used recently. Just wondering what you guys would do? The bow permits are only good thru bow season then the draw permits kick in this this right? Just want to make sure I am right if I run into someone trying to hunt out there.

Let the corp know and they will remove it if you want as permanent stands are not allowed, or just feed it and hunt it, however if someone has been hunting it all year the deer may have patterned around it already, regardless once bow season is over on waco only deer hunters allowed out there are the ones who drew shotgun segments.

That's what I thought thanks guys. But no gun for me it is gonna be bow only and it is gonna be cold. I plan on hunting just about every day this week so if he does show up it is not gonna be pretty.

Be sure to get pics! Or it didn't happen . Use your cell phone for pics if confronted by illegal hunters. Video would be best if possible. That way you have evidence for ACE, TP&W, and the Sheriff's dept.

Well found out who's platform it is a member on here just was not able to get it before bow season was over so no worries at all. My hunt is over even though I have it until Saturday will not be able to get out there again. Saw plenty of deer just no good ones lots of small bucks still chasing but no good ones to speak of. Had plenty of shots at does just did not take them. Wanted to wait for one of the big ones I keep hearing about to come by but no such luck but that is hunting. With all the deer I saw it did not feel like public land. Until next year and for anyone who has a gun permit left shoot me a pm maybe we drew the same area.
