Turkey Suggestion
Can anyone recommend a good place to hunt turkeys? I haven't hunted turkeys for years and don't have any on my property. Thanks.

The LBJ grasslands has some good places but you have to do some scouting first so you better like to walk. -
Unfortunately they have gotten real popular and in your area, you usually have to pay to play. There should be some good day lease prospects near you though. The best turkey hunting I have ever seen was in Lampasas county south of Lometa on the Colorado River...that place is crawling with them. Unfortunately, I don't think we have access anymore.
For public land, I hear the Eastern population is alot of fun to hunt out in the Sam Houston National Forest I believe it is.Comment
