Please mark your calenders for March 16 and 17, 2013 for the 20th annual Austin Texas Traditional Tournament, hosted by the Austin Archery Club. Official flyer will be posted soon.

p.s. A primitive archery tournament has been scheduled for this month, Sunday, Nov. 18th. 2012. I am not sure who is hosting it, but more information will be posted when I receive it.

Are the rules gonna be the same as last year?I'm talking about the shoot the same class as many times as you want till you have a high score rule.If so (no offense to anyone who likes this rule)this shoot will never be on my list as long as this rule exist.JMO!

        See ya there Don.

It should be another fun shoot, although that rule needs to be looked into.

I was one who got help from that rule last year. I agree with everyone else that it should be changed. I will continue to go because it is at one of my home clubs and in my back yard but I really do not like the rule either.

Wow…sure seems to me like y’all are being a bunch of “RULE NAZIS” here!

Allowing multiple rounds/attempts/ re-dos in the same category is NOT A RULE…rather, it is a LACK OF RULE. A lack of rules (or rule enforcement) seems to be the direction that the winds of Trad 3D are currently blowing. It’s a “swinging pendulum” thing, and the pendulum is now changing its momentum back toward a relaxation/ lack of rules.

Don, you are just being avant-garde and on the cutting edge of the current shift in the pendulum swing. Personally, I no longer give a flip if there are ANY rules. I say go for it!

Heck…even better yet…if the motivation/ intent is to make more money, why not just sell 40 mulligans/ re-dos per round? You’ll make even more money for the club that way.
