    20 yards is funny

It still after a year amazes me that I can group about the size of a cantaloupe at 19 yards. But scoot me to 20 and I can barely hit a 3d target lol.

Hope my elk hunt I get one at 19 or under. If not I'll just be flinging arrows. Ha

Alot of it may be my target/backyard. Bc I seem to shoot better on my huge block at work. I may be worried about shooting my rock wall. Ha

          I feel your pain.
I am trying to work that mental thing out.
Someone here said "aim small, miss small" or something like that.
Keep'em flying and you will hit.

It seems slot worse in my backyard. At work I shoot much better. Bum just not worrying about it. I'm just gonna shoot at 10 yards till my hunt. I'll make the shot on a elk

Don't think about the distance, just move around and shoot with out trying to calculate it. I know it is hard in the back yard where you know every inch.....but it won't be like that in the field.

You ain't going crazy....it's all in your head

This is what I do! I just don't worry about the yardage anymore. I ran into into a tough spot were I just couldn't shoot any descent groups past 15 yards. My solution was to just stop worrying about how far out I could shoot. I really don't measure any yardage anymore and I just simply move back and forth all the way out to what I assume is between 25 and 30 yards. My groups really improved!

don't worry about it. all the shot's will be at 15 yards, but shoot a couple at 25 just for practice

Your mind is a powerful thing, when you let it do the work for you your groups will improve. When you over think each shot is it 18 or 20 yrds??? Your groups will show it. Do as Chunky says, go somewhere you don't have known yardages and just walk around and shoot your target at different angles and yardages and I'll bet the bank you shoot 100% better. I have no idea what yardage I shoot most of my animals at and if I just shoot how my instinct tells me I kill. If I start thinking about distance I WILL miss. Good luck

I can shoot a tennis ball @ 17 yards. Move back to 20 and go low about 5 inches.
                        You're not alone. hahaha

I hope this helps, it sure helped me..........the longer the yardage the more focus.........remember your a tree that does not move until the arrow smacks the target and you have to look really hard afterwards to see you arrow buried in the 10 spot! The tendency is to "drop everything" once the arrow is released.......it helped me sure hope it helps you

Great advice above. Sometimes I'll just back it up further for fun so that I loosen back up and just try to have fun with it. I'll then settle down and keep shooting. Always start messing up when I look at it as a chore.
