    Golf Cart DIY question

I've seen ALOT of golf cart builds on here and I was wondering what these things will run in price range. Ima college kid and in a budget do try and keep that in mind. I would really like to fix one up though.

all depends on how, what, where, and how big you wanna go.
Got my '01 ezgo for $400
Spent about $1500 fixing it up

A good start would be to find a 48 volt cart and build from there if you want to.48 volts have more speed amd torque than 36 volt carts do unless you upgrade lots of components.Find a 48 volt and add a lift and tires off ebay.

Any idea on where I should look? I don't need anything super super fancy. Just a lifted cart with a good rack. I can build one myself if needed.

Check Craigslist for carts. Buggies Unlimited is a good place for parts and advice. BU has a great forum for tips and tech questions.

Got my cart for 3000 and put another 2500 in mods. Lift rims controller and motor.
