need help getting a newby set up

A neighbor friend of myself and Jennifer has approached us and said that she would like to get back in to shooting a recurve. She shot a recurve when she was younger and her 5 yo got a little bow from his grandad and it has sparked her interest again.

I don't know much of anything about what to look for in a traditional bow, so I am coming to knowledge pool to get some guidance on where to direct her, what to help her look for ect. So some of the questions I have are as follows(they are in the order I think is most important, but if these "steps" are out of order let me know)

    1. draw length
    2. draw weight
    3. arrows: composition(aluminum, carbon,ect), length, spine, weight, tip(weight)
    4. glove
    5. entry bow costs
    6. maker of bow

I shoot with Canyon Lake Archery Club and know that there are some knowledgeable people around that can help(Bisch, John Reina, ect) I also know David Meckel who has been making bows (not sure if he still has his stuff or not)

The Samick Sage is a very popular starter bow. She should start at a low weight. The worst thing she can do is start with to much weight. The Sage is very resonably priced and she can order different limbs for it as she gets stronger. Her arrows should be matched to the weight she is pulling back at her draw length, not the weight of the bow. Gloves and tabs are a presonal choice.

what poundage should she shoot for? I know it will be personal once she starts looking, but what is maybe a typical weight?

I don't know anything about her so its hard to say. You really need to take her to a shop or a trad shoot and let her try a bunch of different things. Off hand I would say 30/35 #, but that may be to much or to little.
