Due to my new bow showing up broke, my plans for shooting in the TSLC changed big time. Now I'm having a hard time deciding on which bow to shoot. I can shoot my self bow which is what I've been shooting at most shoots this year or I can shoot a longbow that until the last few days I've never shot very consistance.
I shoot the self bow well but to really score with her I have to really be on my game. She doesn't have a shelf and that puts me at a disadvantage as I bet everyone else will be shooting bows with shelves. Not that this really bothers me any but if I'm having a bad day in the technique department, she tends to multiply my mistakes by a factor of 10.
As I said the longbow is one that was built for me last year, but I was never able to shoot her consistance and so hung her on the rack. Shooting my self bow has actually made me a much better archer and so I have shot this bow very well out to 20 yards the last few evening. Past 20 yards is a little iffy but past 20 yards is also iffy with my self bow as she drops off very fast.
So there is where I'm at right now, any suggestion?
