    HuntNShoot Hog Hunt

Headed down at the end of Feb for a hog hunt with two archers and two guys sporting shotguns. Any advice on hunting down there and what to bring would be welcome.

Talked with Brian on the phone and he seems like good people, really looking forward to hunt.

We will report back on the trip when we get back.

    Best of luck...

Live2Hunt, who will be guiding you on your trip.

Howie is a personal friend of mine, but I'm not sure if he will be guiding there during that time. I haven't had experience other than being guided by Howie, but if you watch the videos that are below in my signatures, they were filmed at HuntNShoot.

You are going to have a great time! I've been twice and had a good time and brought home meat every time. I would hunt the feeders for about and hour after light and then spot and stalk the rest of the day. You will figure their travel routes out in time and then lay the hammer down. I always shoot one on stand then spot and stalk the other two. Good luck!

Been there twice and it was great both times. Howie is a great guy. Last time I was there we sat in a stand until right after the feeders went off and then stalked for the day. I was able to put 4 down (one had a nasty wound and was probably on his way out when I shot him) and EdwardV got 2 with his longbow.

Brother thats one hard row to hoe... I have quit outstanding jobs because I had to travel a couple of days a week and it took me away from my baby girls...

If you need us, just call. I can manage the time for a fellow dad who is away from home and needs a good christian man to check in on the family for him.

              God bless...

Howie is gone? like gone gone, or just not there right now?
I'll feel bad if I find out he has quit and I missed my chance to hunt with him.

Well we are back and tired, but it was fun! The gentleman that ran the place was Brian and he worked pretty hard to see that we had a good time. Real nice guy and did his best to help us.

We didnt have great luck finding our hogs we hit, but that was due to us leaving and not letting Brian know we had to bail around noon. He really wanted to get us back in there but DFW is around 4-5 hours away...

I put a 1 hour stalk on a group of hogs that was a BLAST. I might have traveled 100 yards in an hour, but they never busted. When a young man was walking down a road behind me without knowing I was up ahead he spooked em. I was a little disapointed, but I managed to turn them down toward him. I saw him get one of the hogs I was after, so good for him! It all worked out!

The best news is a man I have brought into archery and been teaching put the smack down on his first animal with his recurve! Thomas has only been shooting a recurve for a few months but is deadly at 20 yards.

The grin on his face when he told me how he nailed that hog at 17 yards...

Man he was shaking just telling me about it...

Ran over and showed me the bloody arrow...

Just a perfect day for him and I was honored to have brought him into the brotherhood of the bow.

Brian will take care of ya and do anything and everything to make your hunt great! 5 stars for sure!
