Try as I may, the hog hunt was awesome as far as seeing monster hogs, opportunities for my students and just general all around fun. However, the weather didn't cooperate, and made the hogs do some crazy things. The pop ups were brought in too late, and the dang hogs just didn't trust them and shied away. I did however see six monster hogs that would make anyone a great trophy for sure. I had the opportunity on many occasions to take this one piglet, but I let him pass in the hopes that the big boys would come out. The wind, the rain, the skeeters wreaked havoc, but over all a good time. Two of my three students had shots, but just couldn't connect with the bow. As for me...

That's the way with hunting. If you were successful every time it would get boring and not be any fun! Hang in there! Glad you at least was able to get out and enjoy the outdoors and saw some game.

That made me laugh. My students really enjoyed it, and we will be going back before June I'm guessing as one of my students will be heading to boot camp. He wants to get a last hunt in with his dad, so I'm going to try to put something together for him. I will keep at it, but it seems like we had everything go wrong. That's hunting.
