Arrow Finishes

I am trying to find a replacement for gasket laquer, as I always end up with cracks in the finish.

I used poly minwax wipeon this last time but this stuff stinks and I had to use an under coat to to protect my crest from smearing.

I would like something hard, shiny and some protection against target burn.

I used the Minwax poly acrylic and it dried very hard. I did apply several thin coats and lightly buffed with oooo steel wool between coats. No target burn on mine, yet
