    Lookin' for a Hybrid longbow

    Fact finding mission, good, bad...expensive...cheap.. what is the best out there?
    I know there a Great ones for 400.00 and not so great ones for 1000.00

    Do you mean a Flat Bow?

            I know Creig T has a Tickey Creek for sale for $400 it is a shooter and a looker. It's a hybrid

              OK...I'm guessing a hybrid is a take-down with both longbow and recurve limbs? You must be talking about that Foley of Creigs? It certainly is a looker. I never did see it shot though.

                The hybrids tend to have so much reflex and deflex that they no longer have the crescent shape when strung. They still have a little forward arc to the ends of the limbs. They can be 3 piece of one piece but still show a bit of reflex when strung.

                  No Randy Bryant built a longbow but it's more like a hybrid, short alot of reflex/deflex.

                      Thanks, I've seen them..just haven't heard anyone call them "hybrids" before.

                      I sure hope this doesn't mean we need yet ANOTHER TBoT category.

                        Don't worry Dusty. Most of the bows you see today have a bit of hybrid in them. Some more than others. My Sierra, Superstition and Blueridge are all hybrid.

                            CEpperson has a sweet bob lee for sale. it is a hybrid long bow. i own the same one and it is a shooter. butter smooth.

                              May have said it somewhere earlier.. I like those Bingham project bow a Take down longbow 55# @ 30" sounds nice.
