anyone brave enough to hunts ducks with a bow??? i plan to try it on the river this year. just havent seen many ducks yet. it would be nice if we could get a tbh duck hunt together. never done it before, it might be fun.

i spend ALOT of time on the river. this really isnt duck country. i see a few now and then but they are few and far between. hopefully this drought will push them to the river. i would guess that calling would bring them in as well. any great ideas would be nice.

I will go and can call, got the dekes. Might act as cleanup with my gun as I am not very good at moving targets with a bow.

If they don't want to be there you can call 'til you're blue in the face and they still ain't comin'. Scouting is the name of the game. Be where they want to be and its game over. Never tried ducks w/ a bow, but it sounds fun. I'd have to let 'em hit the water before I even attempted a shot though.

I've never been a duck hunter but plan to go this year.
I had my chance to on Whitney a few years back but the guy I was with told me it was illegal to shoot em with a bow..... I didn't know any better so I held off.
I'll get another swing at it this year. They hit the tanks at my lease pretty regular. Well... What's left of my tanks....

tried 3 times last year let a bunch of arrows fly no ducks hit but it was fun trying. me and my son have been practicing at skeet this year. hoping it helps because im going to be trying again this year. good luck to all that try it. it,s a blast

Never hunted ducks with a bow, but it should be fun and expensive with plenty of lost arrows... Pheasant hunting was a blast the two times I went with a bow, but it got pretty expensive too..

I saw a kid a couple of years ago who would get his limit every time while hunting with his recurve. He said he would wait until they were landing and they were basically sitting still. He said to use the zwickey Kondor game tip.
