I had a little success Saturday afternoon. A group of pigs showed up about 6pm and I was able to introduce one of them to a 1-1/8" Slick Trick.
An interesting thing happens to the arrow. The arrow penetrates the hog enough to get a good portion of it out the other side. Then the hog lunges forward, immediately breaking the broadhead side of the arrow off against the feeder leg. That half of the arrow is found within a couple of feet of where the hog was standing. The hog carries the nock end of the arrow several more feet where it is pushed out the way it came in by blood flow. The broadhead half of the arrow is almost completely clean because it broke off before the hog had a chance to bleed on it. To look at it, you almost wouldn't even know it went through an animal. Meanwhile, the nock half of the arrow is soaked in blood. When I pulled the nockturnal off the shaft, there was coagulated blood inside the shaft pushed up around the battery.
I'm going to post two versions of the same video. The first is the FULL VERSION that includes blood trailing footage. If you enjoy a blood trail, this is the version for you...

The second is for those of you with a short attention span. It's just like the other one except that I edited out all the blood trailing footage...
