The official Texas public land kill thread!

I love seeing animals killed on public land. We all know that taking any animal with a bow on Texas public land is a challenge in itself. So post all yer past, present, and 'future'! Name the yer setup, distances, and public land with the LDP's.

Here's my only public kill. Taken at Benbrook Lake last season. First doe was shot at 8 yards from 15 ft high with a 2009 Mathews Monster 70#@30in, 100 gr 2 blade Bloodrunner, Carbon Express Rebel Hunter weight forwards (510 gr total weight), and the nubby buck was taken with the same setup 30 mins later @ 20-25 yards.

NOTE: Did not know it was a nubby. Came out by itself and I thought it was a small doe.

Took a doe last year @ Birch Creek S.P. on stand by. Shot her @ 30 yards with a 2-blade Rage powered by an '05 Hoyt SuperTec, 396 grain Easton's, 72# @ 28" draw. It sure was nice being able to lean out of my ground blind and get a cup or water from the water faucet at the campsite.

Hope to have some axis/black buck/doe/spike pics to add in December after our trip to Kerrville.

Killed 7 point, spike and doe in Anderson county unit 120 back before it went to blue chip lease.

Killed a doe on Richland Creek WMA when you only had to have $48 permit.

Killed 6 point, a doe and a couple hogs on COE land.

                            All above taken with bow.
