any 3d shooters in my area??

I guess Im what you could call a novice 3D shooter. I like shooting tournaments, but I only shoot one a year. Im definately not a pro because I shot a 270 out of 360 at our annual VATAT (Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association of Texas) annual scholarship 3D archery tournament. Ide probably shoot more often, but I dont know where to find them.

Nacogdoches Bowhunters used to meet and have a shoot out by the lake, but it has been a couple of years now. I believe lack of help is was led to the shutdown. With the people in the Lufkin/Nac and surrounding areas, that would be an awesome place to have a shoot.

It would take the right piece of property/landowner and members to get it going

im from the Cushing/Reklaw area. I teach in Cushing but live in Reklaw, so I am trying to keep an eye open in both the Nac and Jacksonville areas.

arent any deep east tex clubs anymore, i had my shoot here at livingston, but the attendance dropped off so much and i had more stuff to do than i had time and quit. We shoot tons of 3d still though and me and my wife are the ASA south region reps.

your closet shoot is going to be tyler or brazos county, or they do have a shoot at buffalo every once in a while. Then you have willis, banana bend, buffalo field, saltgrass, and brazoria in houston area

Im only 45 minutes out of Tyler. When and where do they have shoots up there?

Do you have to be ASA members or any other kind of member to shoot tournaments?

Are you close to Palestine area? I live between Palestine and Crockett and have been trying to find local places to shoot. So far I have heard that there is a new archery range in Palestine call "The Archery Shop", and that they might start an indoor spot league this August.

Palestine? Really? I would like some more info on that one.

Tyler archery club will have two more shoots this year. One next Sunday and one in September. 3D season is winding down and everyone is preparing for hunting. We start again in February.

Im about an hour out of Palestine. Thats not too far to travel for a few hours worth of shooting.

So, does anyone that comes up with the entry fee get to shoot or do you have to be a certain type of member of something? How do these things work?
