    Pop-up Blind Repair

My tent blind got blown up last year from high winds several times. I want to try to use it at least one more season. I mount it on an 8 ft. platform. The replacement arms for this is $45 bucks each. so I came up with this idea. Lowes had 3/4 pvc for $1.19 a 10 foot stick. So here goes. 10 peices of 3/4 pvc. 8 elbo's. 16 end caps. and some msc screws I already had. I ended up using 3/4 EMT conduit for the upright peices because the other was too lightweight. If I do another one I will use 3/4 EMT totally for strength. Maybe it will hold. seemed sturdy enough in the back yard but we'll see. After a few cans of black paint It will be ready to try.

Im digging it! I was gonna try to make my own on that same concept with a tarp in mind....until I ran across a few deals in the classifieds!

Did you make it so you can pull it appart roll the pvc up in the fabric and go? (that was my thinking on it).

Your yard looks an aweful lot like mine

I have it all together permanent since I am 8 foot off the ground. I will still use the extra tie downs for the sinds once mounted. This is what it looked like last year before setting up in the field.

In the field I have it anchored down with 4 t-post and ratchet straps. It works great for our location. Gets us above the low mesquite but still covered.

Yes. My wife has the same setup except using a different tent blind. Hers has windows that are more up and down than triangles. It works better than this one.
