Which HD video camera to buy?

Whixh HD video camera should I get to film my own hunts. I'm willing to spend around $500 for a good HD video camera. I was looking at a Sony Handycam HDR-CX130, is this a good camera to use? What are yalls opinions? Thanks for the help!

I've got the Sony handycam dcr-sr47. Great camera for the features... It's not HD. The picture quality isn't very good...

The more research I did I think im going with the Sony HDR XR500, is seems like a really good camera for my purpose, retails for around $1100 but can get a good used one for a few hundred dollars if the auction doesnt get too high. I was also debating between the HDR 150 but the 500 has a larger lense and better photos but does not have better zoom. Any info and tips would be greatly apprishiated!

I think that's what Hogdude uses. Nice quality videos.

Go take a look at my videos. There a few of them on this page. All my videos were shot with a Sony XR-150. It has a 25X zoom. All you will need for bow hunting. Plus it holds like 9 hours of footage on the hard drive. I think I paid about $550 for it 2 years ago. You can find it cheaper now. Give it a look.

I've been looking at getting the Sony HDR-PJ10.

                    They've discontinued the Sony HDR-XR500

Check out the JVC Everio models. They produce very high quality shots and with a three year warranty, taxes, and shipping I paid a hair over $300. I don't know how or I would post up some video of my axis hunt 2 weekends ago.

Unfortunately it is not a bowhunt, I just want to show you the quality, but I will post one up of inside a groundblind with shoot through mesh.
