First Trad Kill With My New Toy

I was grilling in the back yard Saturday, when the neighbor started to call me from over the fence. He said there is a skunk going behind the hedges and acrosss your front porch and he had a shotgun and would shoot it for me. I told him I would shoot it, no problem.
I ran in and got my new Tolke recurve and a arrow with a broadhead that I have never tried to shoot before. It was a Mangus two blade 125 grain mounted on a ACC 349, kinda stiff for my set up but hey it worked perfect.
My Grandson was yelling, PaPa killed a stunk!

Good timing being you already had the grill fired up

Great shot. Might as well bury the arrow with the skunk!

The amazing thing about this, is that the skunk never sprayed. He just rolled over and died. Washed the arrow and broadhead, ready for the next challenge

Great shot and good luck with the non-spray. I don't like skunks at all.

Looked like a good shot too. Glad he did not spray.

Skunks are like snakes - only good when they're dead.
                          Congrats.

Cool thing was that I never looked at or tried to figure out the yardage, just pulled back and let'er rip. I like that, because maybe I can learn this instictive thing after all.
