suggestions on a glove to try?

I've been shooting my new recurve for 3 weeks now and I am really enjoying it. (you guys were right about it being addicting!) I have been using a simple cordovan tab which is working OK but I want to try a glove to see which I like better. Looking on 3Rivers there are a lot of choices. If I understand correctly, there is a trade-off between feel and comfort. Since I am shooting a lighter bow (about 42# at my draw length) I am assuming I could get away with a glove with thinner leather for better feel and still not get sore fingers too quickly. Any suggestion on which one I should get? Thanks!

Choosing the right glove is a kind of personal thing... You should try one of Alaska Bowhunting gloves if you have the chance. For me, I haven't found it's equal.

Best for me is the Black Widow Stick-Tite Super Glove...

I went on the cheap side and bought one that is pretty thin/soft. Probably paid around $15 for it (from 3rivers). It's already showing sings of wear and I don't shoot that much. In hindsite I would have spent more money on a quality product but I wasn't sure I would like a glove over a tab.

I'm sure that there are better ones out there, but I've found that the cheap $10 at Academy works well for me. Took me a few weeks for my fingers to toughen up, but the glove has held up good.

I use a deerskin damascus glove with a calf hair tab. It gives the protection and feel of a glove with the slick release of the tab. I got it at academy for about 15.00

Try the Dura glove from 3 Rivers, I think you will like it! Soft leather with Cordura fingers for a slick release!

DITTO! I changed over to a Dura Glove as Jason described last summer and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. It doesn't matter if it gets wet from rain, sweat, or a dunk in the creek it still has a nice smooth/slick/fast release. Just remember that the cordura fingers will not stretch quite as much as leather, so if you are used to buying small and counting on them to stretch and "shoot-in" you're better of not doing that with the duraglove and getting it to fit you new right out of the package. Danged impressed I am with mine. I'm gonna get me another one for a backup in case I lose mine. I somehow doubt I'm gonna ever wear that bugger out!

I have one from Martin archery that I got out of cabelas that works well. I also have a dura glove from 3rivers but haven't gotten to play with it much yet.

I have shot pretty much every glove out there and the Dura Glove that 3 Rivers carries is now the only one I will own. The cordura tips let you get a good feel on the string and allows the string to slip away nicely. For under $30 it is a great deal. PS. I think I turned Jason on to the same glove. I recommend it to all my bow customers.

I just ordered and couple of Wyandotte Open End Gloves to try.
Getting them from Scott Greaves at Old South Arrows and he said I could send them back if they didn't fit or work for me.
I also have one of the Black Widow stic tite gloves and it's a good un.
I just needed some back up gloves to put in strategic places because I am always forgetting mine for some reason.

I shot with a tab for nearly twenty years,I could never find a glove I liked until I tried the Alskan bowhunter glove .

The Dura Glove. Comfort with feel Slick release with no creasing. I have tried lots of gloves and Won't use another.

Glove or tab....it's all personal preference. I hate gloves and only shoot tabs so I don't have any advice for you. It is a good idea and try both and decide for yourself which you like better.
