    pulling in the bucks

Thinking about doing more than just throwing corn this season to get the bucks in. Should I go with mock scrapes or doe estrus or what. What is the best method? When should I do it? I have a couple bucks coming to one of my feeders and I wanna keep them there. Also, what product should I use? I've never done anything but feed, so I'm new to this. Thanks in advance!!!

You could bathe in Tinks 69, but don't wear lace up shoes. Just kiddin. My experience is keeping everything natual works the best. I have sent tons of money on gimmics. Just dedicate a lot of time to your spots and it will payoff.

Thanks for the opinion. We finally are getting bucks on our GC and i wanna keep them there. Hope they aren"t just passing through. Its a new lease and we've worked really hard to get it up and going, just trying to maximize its potential.

I love to make MOCK scrapes when the time is right. I made one yesterday afternoon up here in Ohio on the edge of a field where there were 7 other scrapes and rubs and here is the pic I got 3hrs later. Scrapes work at certain times of the year

Got does? If the ladies are there the bucks will be there as well, sooner or later.

What do you do to make your mock scrape?

I had does, but they've disappeared recently. Not sure if it acorns or not, but it did coincide with the bucks showing up? Other feeder is missing does too, but no bucks there. A bit puzzling...

I don't know how you are set up but I cover an area with LOTS of corn. I run out 50lbs from the tail gate feeder every chance I get. Then I walk it in to an area with in bow range.

I have tried scents without much success. I would just keep using feed. I am going to feed year round this year, think this helps a lot. And some of the does may be in estrous now. I was on my way back from the ranch this morning and saw a nice 8 in a field and stopped to check him out. He didn't even care I was there. What I didn't see was the doe bedded down In the tall grass not 10' away. She took off like a bat out of hell and he was right behind her.
