    Schleicher County Pics for August

Got a huge crop of bucks coming in since I started protein. I can't tell you how much the numbers and quality has improved. The only thing missing is age . I'm hoping the older boys start showing up soon but we've had so much rain that I don't know if they will.

These are from my "bad feeder". No feeder pen so the blackbuck have taken it over. They pretty much eat all the corn and run the deer off. I do have some deer that will stand in there with them. I meant to build a pen once again this year but it's so rocky there that I'd probably never get a tpost in the ground. Probably gonna move this one next year. We're finally getting some turkeys on the place after none for 3 years. Got a few hogs filtering in too. I shot the first one on the ranch ever killed last year.

This is my #1 stand. I've got a water trough about 80 yards away. Lots of deer activity with the 1,000 lb protein feeder in there this year. Not many mature bucks but a lot of solid hill county deer.

    Buncha bucks!

Lots of targets, no need for an empty freezer. Looks like a promising year.

Good looking deer Bobby. I like that 10 that is in the back. Hopefully you can get some closer pics of him.
