Im having a little problem on my lease i have. We been throwing corn for 4 months now and we started getting pics of deer coming to them, now we cant buy a deer to come around the feeders. There are some hogs coming to certain feeders so the deer dont have a chance but the other feeders arent getting touched. We see deer on roads or openings, so i know they are there. Anyone have suggestions on getting them to the feeders or should i just be patient.

Ditto above! Patience also. Property I'm on is loaded with deer (we don't hunt them). I see deer eating a lot of natural forage and vegetation right now. A handful come to the hog feeder I've got set up for dessert but most of them are fattening themselves up on natures bounty. Wait til it all dies off you'll see them return. They know its there just give it time!

patience is key this time of year. It is very easy to become frustrated when deer stop showing up this time of year. To accompany the amount of browse that was mentioned above, deer (bucks and does alike) are going through physiological changes and stress periods that cuase them to be less active than other parts of the year. As bucks are preparing to harden out their antlers, their body has to allocate the material needed from other areas of the body. you could call it a form of osteoporosis.
Does are raising young and trying to allocate their resources to this effort while also preparing to start their fall / winter coat.
hang in there!

I have 3 set-ups with only 1 having a gravity feeder. The deer, coons and squirrels are eating about 100# each week out of the gravity feeder and I have about 8 bucks and 6-8 does/fawns coming to it. The gravity feeder is the ticket right now as I don't have near as much traffic with the spin feeders. Only a few does and an occassional buck are coming to the spin feeders.
We don't have any hogs so that is not an issue for me.
Best of luck. Hope you figure it out.

I think it is the same everywhere. We have acorn falling by the millions on our place and there are thousands of acres of corn that was just cut, so they really have no reason to go to the feeders. We still see a few here and there but not too many. I think when we start getting some good rain the corn and stuff will start to rot and you may see more then.
