    mathews drenaline ??

i have an oppertunity to buy a Mathews drenaline for 700.00 from a co worker fully loaded with all the goodies and case and arrowows i'll have to get the arrows cut and the bow adjusted becasue he is a few inches taller then i its a 2007 model bow is this a good price ?? should i pull the trigger ? or try to get him to go cheaper, he dosnt hunt with it at all he bought it for fun basically when he sold off handguns, so is 700 a good price for an 07 model ??

I'd say 500. Bows don't hold there value because there are to many new ones coming out for sale.

fully rigged i would say it is a decent price, but could be found cheaper. keep in mind that if you have to change draw length, you will need a new cam. Those are between 40 and 70 dollars depending on where you find them. And the arrows you get might not work for spine if you have to cut them off a lot, so you might end up needing to replace them also. IMO you should ask a shop how much they would charge for the changes if necessary, and then maybe haggle for a little better deal.

As a Drenalin shooter whose rig ran about $1600 two years ago, and who ended up getting new cams to shorten draw length ($80), I'd say it's a pretty good deal at $700.

Truth be known, I've shot the Z7, and prefer my Drenalin... but that's just me.

What is it rigged out with? That would be a factor for me to decide. You can find fully rigged other bows for around that same orice or cheaper.

You could probably buy the Mission line, made by Mathews, rigged out for considerably cheaper price and comes with warranty.

Buddy of mine just got a Drenlin, bare bow, for about $300.....

Decent price depending what sight, rest, etc. Mathews Bows do hold value very well. The market for Mathews bows is extensive and everyone has their favs that's why they hold their value. Look for a 5 year old switchback and you'll still be paying around 500$. Look a similar PSE or Bowtech and your around 250-300$. Keep in mind the extra 50$ for new cam.

well he's an inch taller but were the same weight and wear the same pant size pretty much same build as well so i do not know if the bow will fit may just have to adjust an inch or maybe half an inch he's gonna bring it to work thursday what should i offer.

If your willing to drop $700....... add some to it and rig out a new bow for YOU not your buddy's old bow.

a year old top end bow will usually bring around $300 less than original price. so based on this theory that is a little high even if it is fully rigged cause remember all that stuff is not new either. just so you know i just sold my 08 101st airborne fully loaded w/ arrows and case to a friend for $450. that was a $1200 setup brand new that was only a year and a half old.

i bought a used Drenalin in February for $500 fully rigged (Apex sight, QAD Ultra Drop Away rest, stabilizer, Mathews 7 arrow quiver, and Meta peep).

i think you can offer $500-600 for it...
