Good job. It looks like on the first picture it focused on the tree and not the bird (maybe your intention). That can be difficult to do sometimes depending on how many focal points you have or the way it was set up. Single focal point can be easier on shots like this but not sure if your camera is capable of changing to different focal points.

I'll have to read up on that. This is my first DSLR and things have sure changed since the days of my old manual film Nikon!
