ASA Qualifier at Nocona Rescheduled Due to Snow

Bret has had a chance to look at the range. The snow is very deep. All shooting stakes are covered. We are not sure how much snow is going to melt today/tonight. The trees are weighted down, drooping in front of the targets. There will be lots of snow falling from the trees. Most all targets are set in the trees. It will be like it is raining in the trees tomorrow and Sunday.

We feel safety is an issue. The trails will be very slick, the main road is covered right now by over 12 inches of snow. A lot of heavy, wet snow will be falling from the trees tomorrow and Sunday.

We are very sorry for this late cancellation. This was an extreme weather event. As of yesterday we thought we could have the event. After seeing the range today Bret and I feel it is not possible to run the shoot safely and fairly.

Please help up pass the word around.

The Nocona shoot will be rescheduled for May 1 & May 2.

I had a heck of a time getting up my street in 4X4. Slush was a mess. River Oaks area.
                          Guess we had 8+ inches.

Got a few from my backyard. Took these a 1:40 today.

The snow busted up our Cedars.

There is a target in there somewhere that is usually a clear shot.

Nocona got a good bit more snow than we got here in Arlington.

                              Good idea...

Those traditional guys have a hard enough time finding arrows on bare ground.
