This past weekend my family and I, along with Kelly G and his daughter, went to the ADL7 Ranch in Crystal City. We arrived somewhere around 2AM and went straight to bed. 2.5 hours and a cup of coffee later we were off to the hunt. i was hoping we could drive BAMBI, but no dice. Since im 16 you might see why
so off to the blinds in Brad75's truck, i havent even been in my blind for long enough to fall alseep... i.e. minutes when i see an assortment of animals.
After the morning hunt we went back to the White Wing Lodge, and I went fishing, with little sucess and no pics
during the day, we finally took out BAMBI
and many more animals were spotted!! we even saw two red lechwe (sp?)
fighting!!!
followed by this assortment, notice the huge mass of that elk!!!
then
and back to the White Wing Lodge we went
after a relaxing afternoon playing pool, it was back to the feild!
more animals showed
starting with an addax
followed by a couple sika
followed closely by two fighting Barasinga
and then some fallow
and a white tail who looked better going away was a good way to finish the day.
that night i wanted to varmint hunt, but i had no light... luckily Kelly G had several marauders, one of which i was allowed to use... but i was too pumped to take pics...... no animals presented themselves in the dense fog.
the next morning, my dad finally got the hog he was looking for!!
a new tradition HUP (Hanging Up Pictures) cuz we decided it was less effort!!
thanks to Brad (brad75) and all the people at ADL7 ranch for a simply amazing weekend!!!!
