View Full Version : Nice looking Bow rack
03-21-2007, 12:31 PM
I just bought my first home, and I am about to have a new bow, which will bring my collection to too many. I may sell a couple, but I was hoping to see if any of ya'll have a nice looking decorative but useful bow rack in your house. I want to put it in my study with maybe one or two bows on it. If you happen to have one or have a picture of one, please post. I want to build one or maybe buy one if not too expensive.

Here are some pictures of one that I downloaded several years ago but never got around to making one.

No problem. Give it a couple days and I bet you'll get some more. Again, I'll try and post one tonight.

That looks nice, and easy enough for even me to do.

I don't think my wife will let me take a sledge hammer and drive some shed antlers into my sheetrock! Lord knows I got enough to make clothes racks out of too.

Here is mine with a bunch of crap on it:

03-22-2007, 10:44 PM
I'll have them up tommorrow sometime here. thing is you can customize this one to fit any bow if you want.

03-22-2007, 11:25 PM

OK, junior WINS!!!

No Roye wins! This is aspen and purlpe heart cedar we cut on our sawmill and some sheds that we found at a friends place. My dad has one similar but its all mesquite and no antlers. Holds one bow and 1 doz arrows and has a little drawer at bottom for wahtever.

How do I resize a pic so I can show y'all?
03-23-2007, 09:16 PM
The one I have in the pic is 29" wide, like I said i can customize them to fit any size. I am probably going to do some customization to that one and build another for myself....and S&S:D

I think I got it figured out. Let's see...
What do ya think? I have to admit though, I'm not very skilled. I built it with an old friend and he really did most of it. I just had the idea and then did whatever he told me to.

Here's mine. I used the cheapy bow hanger from Academy.
03-24-2007, 12:40 AM
Never thought I'd say that to a bunch of guys. So far I like the one markm posted the best. It's simple but classy. Rattler, I love the buck tracks in yours. Awesome! Trykonroye, the antlers are a nice touch. Everything looks better with dead animal parts attached (I know they're sheds but same difference). Shootr, yours is great too. I think using the bow hangers was pretty smart and doesn't take away from the look at all. A big thumbs up to all of ya. :D

Roye, I'm flabergasted too. I thought surely by now we'd be blown away by all the vetrans on this forum. I've seen these guys post pics of amazing things they've built. I expected a lot more by now.
