I am going to FP in late October for 5 days. Any suggestions for setups (ie. brushed in popup ground blind, 6' tripod near mesquite, etc)? Is it still fairly green that time of year? I saw some very creative setups when I was there in February.

The big bucks are there and they got big from being smart but can be outwitted. Tents can not look like tents. A 6' tripod in the thickest brush you can find should work if you play the wind right.But the most important thing you need to do is listen to mike, He will tell you where the biggest buck in your pasture lives. Its up to you to seal the deal. Two years ago I shot a 160 class 10pt in pasture 11 ( He's still alive and walks with a slite limp all I can say is my little lite weight montec tipped arrows was not the way to go)
